Enlisting the brains of all you creative people. I'm about to produce an anthology of the various scribblings from my MA Creative Writing course. We need a title and you'd think (wouldn't you?) that this would be the easiest thing in the world for creative writing students to come up with. Not so, apparently. So give me your ideas for a title. The univeristy is Bath Spa, but we're about out of water based titles that aren't cringe worthy. There will be about 37 short stories inside and probably no common denominator. Past titles have been. Mix, Out of the Dark and Writing on Water.
Your ideas would be most gratefully appreciated and the best will appear on the cover. The book will be launched at the Bath Literary Festival in March 2005 and so we need a title fairly quickly for the jacket designers to get going.
Many thanks

Water works has another meaning in the UK, so they might not want to use that one over here
The Incredible Lightness of Water ?
The Water Strikes Back.
Water Man.
Watership Down
The Lord of the Waters.
Gone with the Water.
Catch Water.
The Waterfather
Now I've got water on the brain.

Why not 'water on the brain'?
Watermelon?
Watermark?
Collins English dictionary:
waterworks:
1. an establishment for storing, purifying and distributing water for community supply.
2. a display of water in movement, as in fountains
3. Brit.informal euphemism - the urinary system
I like the first two, which was what first came to mind when you mentioned looking for a title.

I still like Watermark -a design or mark in paper that can be seen when the paper is held up to the light.
The real problem I have, is getting about 37 other 'creative writer type people' to agree to a title. (Getting 37 people of any persuasion to agree to anything is probably impossible.) I think I'll be pushing the one above at tomorrow's meeting , and then , all I have to do is convince the course director!!
thaks as and Alji.
