Any sprinklings of happy dust required today?
Bubble Posted May 26, 2005
Here are some little ditties from little book of happiness.....
Why is the thing we want the most always on the highest shelf?
Happiness is free to the highest bidder !
Even the greatest tyrant looks small from the peak of happiness.
The moment you commit yourself to allowing happiness into your life it will be followed by a chain of events that otherwise would not have happened, as providence comes into play
Your joy is your sorrow unmasked (Kahlil Gibran)
Whats the use of worrying? It never was worthwhile, So pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag, and smile smile smile (George Asaf)
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
One joy scatters a hundred griefs. (chinese proverb)
Happiness lies in philosophy where the foolishness of yesterday becomes the wisdom of tomorrow.
Think of happiness as a winter, the time of year seen as barren, but which is really the season that prepares for life, and gives birth to spring
*bubble throws handfuls of happy dust in the air, dancing to make you smile*

And as she watches the rest of the room sneezing with allergic reactions to the bloody dust and as she merrily stomps upon them as she dances; she ponders upon the secret of happiness.
I shall attempt to convert this jolly little thread to something far more sinister, let's see which one wins eh???
(Don't worry, sick humour is also a source of happiness, just ask Animal, 2legs, ooh lots of others!)
Here's a snippet from a book that Ivan kindly sent me to cheer me up; the book is called "the little book of stress"
***Sit peacefully in a church and think of church history: witchburning perhaps, or child abuse, genocide, the amassing of disgusting wealth, the repression of women, inquisitions, castrating child choir singers, the denial of Santa Claus and the support of fascists in power***

Oh Terri ! You wicked thing!
There is no happiness in a church, not in my world, God took away my most precious friend. A staunch catholic the other day said to me "everything happens for a reason", how insensitive can God be! You can imagine my reaction, and it can't be repeated in here! My religion is friends and happiness You've got me going on a tangent talking about religion! Back to what this place is really about, game on .........
Happiness isn't won - its deserved.
Happiness does not grow in the garden of angry thoughts.
The lies that are allowed to sink in do the most hurt.
My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your icecream while it's on your plate (Thornton Wilder)
Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you (Vincent Brome)
The best medicines in life can be found in a faithful friend or a happy moment
Maybe the happy dust wasn't quite potent enough for you....... *bubble hoovers the tainted happy dust from the floor, runs to cupboard to get jar of super potent happy dust, sprinkles it gayly whilst dancing, the room twinkles with joy and happiness once more*
Super Potent Humbugs.

***To engender a spirit of challenge, keep your house key in a bucket of similar unmarked keys next to your front door.***
***Discover your inner child...it's probably freaked out, needs to go pee and wants to know if you're nearly there yet.***
***Pay attention to all 5 food groups: fruit, sausage rolls, popcorn, custard tarts and lunch.***
***Exercise is a known cause of sweating. Avoid this by crawling under your bed and refusing to come out.***
