Not much happened today.
At least I remembered I started work at 1pm.
And then I had this encounter,whilst putting away a pallet of Sabco (cleaning stuff)
Cast:
Me = Me
odd person = OP (middle aged male)
So, OP comes up to me and asks if we sell Oates extendible handles, I tell him we used to, but we don't any more (Head Orifice suck), sorry.
OP say oh, okay and wanders off.
OP comes back with an Oates cobweb broom that has an extendible handle.
OP: *with a big grin* This is what I want
me: *nods happily*
OP: but I don't want the head
me: sorry but that is how it comes
OP: but I don't want the head
Me: er, that is how it comes
OP: but I don't want the head!
Me: ah, I can take the head off, but the price will be the same.
OP: that's good
* Me unscrews the head*
OP: so how much will this be?
Me: the same price
OP: but is hasn't got a head
Me: the handle isn't sold separately, the price is the same, with or with out the head
OP: okay
*me screws had back on and hands broom to OP*
OP: I don't want the head! Take it off!
*my heart sinks and my head hurts*
*Me unscrew the head and hands OP the pole*
OP: so how much is this again>
Me: xx.xx
OP: but it doesn't have a head!
*me puts head back on*
OP: I don't want the head!
rinse, and repeat x3
* OP stomped off sans handle*
I know he wanted me to mark the pole down, but seriously, I repeatedly told him WE DO NOT SELL THE HANDLES SEPARATELY!
I was not going to take a head of a perfectly good broom, and mark it down at a loss just so he could get the handle.....
That did my head in, I spent the rest of the night putting stuff away and chuckling to myself, some peoples are just odd
