I fully expect to be freezing cold, which will make a nice change, we have the air con on full blast today

It's -6 here but I love the cold . Hope you get snow

it won't snow where we are for xmas, but it snowed last week a bit lower down this is NZs summer, the last time it snowed in summer was 30 years ago, I hope we take some sun with us

Quite often get snow in June here, it doesn't settle of course but adds to the fun Have a good time with your relations

yup, My parents are doing a real family reunion thing this year I think, I haven't been back to NZ since I left 18 (almost 19) years. My family hasn't all been in the same country for more more then 22 years, My big big sis is over here in Oz as well, she went back last year, with her youngest, but couldn't afford it this year

Now that's a long time Was odd enough yesterday to see my brother for the first time since August

still alive! and having a ball, this place is gorgeous, the mountains were really pretty, we got a clear day and we felt we could see forever

wow! sounds like fun

tis a loverly if somewhat chilly country, very windy, the roads we have gone over in the last couple of days are hairraising to say the least , one part took us four! houras to cover 160kms!!!!!!!!! was very windy up an down and in places only one lane wind, and you couldn't see around the corners, it was a bit drizzly too, so it was a bit slippery, but was still absoballylutely gorgeous, drops of 100s of meters down the sides and waterfalls and lots of different shades of green

finished our touring around for now, off to my sisters in south Auckland in a few days, to see the biggish city lights

I will do a full report when I get home and will put up a photo journal
