just realised the redevelopment of the centre has cost over £500million , i can see why my council tax is so high and along with the pleasure of 3 years disruption, oh how convenient.

But what do you realy think what they have done??
I prefere it how it was.

Well personally i think that the selfridges building looks like someones overdone it with the drawing pins. I cant fully comment until its completed, although i do agree with getting rid of all the subways as they could be quite un-nerving especially for single women, the wife had a guy trying to steal our first son in what used to be old square. I also never used to mind the way it was, more character - for such an old city the character seems to be diminishing all the time, ive spoken to Dr Carl Chinn about this in the past and i know that he would agree, then again as i told him what he doesn't know about the city isn't worth knowing. as always .xxx

I agree about the subs they atracted undesirables from a far. But i think the rest of the city center was fine the way it was.I wasnt the one for the markets so i dont realy mind what they do about them but some of the shope have been spoilt. I think they should put some more public fasilitys though such as loos. But not how they used to be before more modern and supervised..

If they were to update all the loos, i'm afraid they would only put those stupid, phone box style portaloo's where you have to pay more than the the traditional 'penny'. To be honest though i hardly ever go to the centre, far too busy for my liking and the whole idea of the renovations is to attract upto 8 million people on a saturday. As much as i hate my city, i love it and will probably never leave it, i always seem to return whenever i have..xxx

You have a good point there..
I hardly use it either except for xmas and lil ones birthday.
But occasionally we all need to go in to town for something.
Oh well we have to either it or loath it dont think we have much choice do we??

Please don't misinterperate what i say i do love my city and i am more than proud to call myself a brummie, but i'm just not that keen on the amount of people there are in the centre itself. as always .xxx

well you may like it but i dont to be honest.
eventually i want to move out of brum but that will be when the son has left school.
Was going to do it years ago. was going to emegrate to Australia had everything ready the papers the lot. But it was put on hold due to family.
I dont think i will go that far now just out of birmingham so its easy to get back.

yeh skeg why not its a great place altho a lil expensive. thats where the lil fella would like to go too he loves it there.eastborn is another nice place but dont think i could live there.

Well Butlins is between Seathorn and Ingoldmells, its about a 15-20 minute walk to the old girls so it aint that bad, and 3-4 miles from Skegness which i usually walk or run whilst the catches the bus, cant beat the prom, apart from at 3am when you've just strolled out the pub and its near a gale force wind, i must have been mad for doing that. as always .xxx

i know where butlins is we caught the coach to there it is a\ preety long walk from there tho.
You mad no never.. tell me something new you are mad 24/7 hee hee i think its something we all do on our hols except i just fall over and usually end up in casulty thats true every holiday i fall over or down some steps or like the last one in a car crash lol
