Mol - on the new tablet

Hurrah hurrah hurrah hurrah

See, I have this week off work to fit the new kitchen. But although the weekend was hard work, yesterday and today have been spent watching the new floor dry ie not hard work at all.

Yesterday I spent almost all day on the computer, clocking off for 45 minutes of frantic tidying which made it look as though I'd been slaving all day.

And today I have

Sorted all the household filing
Calculated the balance on Osh's childcare
Booked the Legoland tickets
Sorted through TWO YEARS worth of till receipts smiley - blush

And it's only just lunchtime!!!!

This afternoon I'm working through my Guides to-do list smiley - angel

And then tomorrow the hard work actually starts, when the kitchen units arrive in the morning.

Hope you enjoyed your down-timeyou always frighten me with how over-committed you are!

Have you been to Legoland before?

We have, and last time we all agreed that the next time we went, we would spend more time looking at all the fantastic lego models and less time queuing for rides.

Legoland is always a bit time-warpy for me, because it used to be Windsor Safari park, and not only did I go there several times as a small child but we also had a sixth form party there. When I stand on the top terrace I can pick out where I watched Ramu the killer whale and so on, and it's a bit weird to find it all covered in people and lego.

I think the over-commitment is because I've never quite got the hang of the fact that I now have a full-time paid job. When I first went back to full-time, DH was at home so there were some household management things I didn't have to do (they weren't done terribly well but at least it wasn't my job to co-ordinate them any more). Then when DH went back to work *all* the household management *instantly* defaulted to me. But it's taken me a while to realise that that means cutting some stuff out.

The guide paperwork I've been sorting out so that I can hand it over to somebody else in good order ...

I was going to say to take the kids' swimming stuff, or a change of clothes if you think they will want to play in the water park bit. Am always amazed by the sharp marketing through having a shop selling the thinnest most expensive towels I've ever seen, and lots of shorts/t-shirts etc. right next to the water park.

The new submarine ride is brilliant (goes through an aquarium - there are sharks!) so worth a go if the queue isn't too bad. We have annual passes so happily go along at 4pm on a rainy thursday and get on all the rides (my record is 18) - not worth queueing for them when it is busy.

Is Osh too grown up for pirates? If not then do try to catch the Pirates of Skeleton Bay show at the harbour. Aye aye Birdsnest!

If you get a clear day, there are some telescopes in miniland (where the lego buildings are) and one of them (can't remember which) still doesn't have trees in front so you can see right across london to Canary wharf, which is pretty cool.

The fact that you *can* do everything amazes me, but you can't do it all forever without burning out. Glad you are handing over some of your guide stuff smiley - hugsmiley - tea

Those are good legoland tips, thank you!

Lots of my schoolfriends that still live in the area have annual passes for their families, v jealous.
