The end of a long week...

Things are finally beginning to look up at work. I've managed to figure out how to get one of my project aims working 
, haven't had any real results for quite a while now and motivation was flagging, now there another thesis chapter waiting to be uncovered. My project student has also managed to (finally) make a new rhodium complex with three weeks before he's meant to finish. The relief is almost tangible. 
It's just a pity the world situation in general puts a right downer on everything. Hope this all end swiftly so my (misguided) sister doesn't end up getting involved...
