Driving yourself insane with unanswerable questions.

I was talking to a friend the other day and she was telling me a story about her aunty who, when she was little, sat down and thought about the universe. She was only about eight at the time, and she suddenly thought, What's beyond the universe? Why don't we know? We should know! There must be something! We're used to the fact that everything is something, so whatever is outside of the universe must be something it cannot be nothing. She quite literally drove herself insane with this and her mother found her in tears.
I was thinking about this and how silly she was, when I suddenly found myself in a similar state. I could only speculate on what was 'out there' and as I had no means or intentions of actually trying to find out, there was nothing I could do about it. So I came to the conclusion that it was best not to think about it, and to leave the thinking to someone who knew how to think about it properly.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
