Fresh Start

It is raining, and I am In Southside Richmond, Virginia, USA. It is one of those rare times in one's life, like the Sunday afternoon's of yore, in which I realize that I have nothing to do.
You, dear reader, may be remarking o yourself that it is an unorthodox starting point for a journal. I agree. And yet, I cannot help but feel like Tom Hank's character an the last scene of "Cast Away"...
...when he is standing at the intersection, where there's a dirt road to that woman with the wings and the highway that goes in no particular direction. he eventually has to go somewhere. For that moment, though, burdened by near-Sartrean freedom, smiles at the Fresh Start.
