Not the h2g2 winter meet - Unc's account
Laura Started conversation Jan 8, 2005
There're trees and powerlines on the track PSG's stuck in Newcastle and I'm stuck in Hemel with a pile of revision Not missed a London meet since I joined (OK so that equates to only 3 London meets atteneded in total) but I won't be making it to this one

Just checked the rail site, don't seem to see antything affecting the CAmbridge to Kings Cross line
*fingers crossed*
Hopefully! sounds like you've got a bit worse weather than we had, but it still seems pretty awful outside; I'm going to attemp* to wonder to the bakery about lunchtime so I'll ahve a better idea how awful it is outside I'll have a drink for you (I keep saying this to everyone I know who can't make it, think I'm up to about six or so drinks I have to drink for people not making this meet ) see you in the summer! (unlesss there is anotehr meet before that)

In Newcastle some people's roofs have been blown off, there's ambulances and fire engines all over the place and bits of trees on the roads. See you in the summer, hopefully . Time to head off in search of a cup of and some breakfast

To be honest I'm a little worried about getting back to Nottingham before my exams on Tuesday I think we're due a sunny summer meet after July's picnic in the rain

I will try to make it to the summer meet, and then perhaps wear the appropriate clothes for the London weather - I nearly froze last summer - so old and so stupid

Yeh, the summer meets seem destined to either be hit by rain in hide park, or flocks of bon jovi fans I think this year we'l have to carefully pick a date in conjunction with looking at the weather for the day concerned and also at what concerts/football etc is on well I'm all clean shaven and clean and dressed pity I'm not going to get the train till gone 2 PM think the weather here sounds as if its calmed down a bit, so I might make a dash up the road to the bakery and get a bit of lunch

The weather is somewhat variable to say the least , I've seen snow fall in June before
It's very odd here, there's about 5 minutes of lovely sunshine and suddenly it's dark and sleeting with howling winds

You'll have to have a drink for me
I hope the date for the summer meet will be agreed upon relatively early, last year, it was already difficult to get the flights - the cheap ones from Lufthansa were already booked three months ahead . BA was ok, except for the damaged tyres they weren't able to change , so I hardly got to London

If it's in June then I might not be there myself due to the whole graduation thing and at some point I'll probably be in Austria
I guess I'd better do some revision if I'm staying here

Hmmm, difficult, I only know some Irish beers, but am no fan of Guinness, my preferred beer is 'Murphy's Stout'

I do post a fair* bit about food I had two eggs fried, free range large eggs they were, fried in olive oil, and four rounds of freshly sliced grannary bread, I didn't* put any butter/marg on the bread, but instead used the oil from cooking the eggs in to put on the bread

Stop it - I'm too lazy to go and fry eggs, just thinking about scrambled eggs with onions and soy sauce
