Phew, all five deadlines that were due in this week complete. All books needed over the holidays borrowed. Dissertation's a bit of a mess but 2 out of 3's not bad. Silly ground beetles. Both presentations seemed to go fine, despite the smudging ink on OHPs and the evacuation of the building due to a spillage of some toxic chemical. Been to Wales twice and also finally went up Scarfell Pike. I've also been all over the Peaks and round Sherwood forrest dressed in a rather colourful costume . Written 4 lab reports. Had quite a few visits from one PSG . Been to several of my favourite pubs from the Vic round the corner to the Cat & Fiddle in the Peaks. Been to several house parties , one with fireworks . Have been helping at Brownies every week, especially after the hall was burnt down. I've gone to many meals out, trips to the cinema and a cruise along the Trent. I've made new friends and kept others. I've continued baking and have invented a few of my own. I haven't missed a single lecture and have been borrowing books like never before . I've been looking for jobs, been summoned for jury service and filling forms to get a defferal. I've eaten a lot of jaffa cakes.
It's been a busy term.
It finishes tomorrow though. Then I'm off up north to stay with PSG and meet his family for the first time. Week after that he gets to meet mine, which includes a pair of 11 year olds, though I've only seen them for 4 days since their birthday back in August. Right now though I need a lot of sleep and a lot of jaffa cakes
.
Anyone got some ?

You too, and a happy birthday to you too. I should be around before christmas, but will probably not be online for the next week. People gave me birthday presents, I thought they'd forgotten

I'm certainly not a workaholic, just happen to be in a semester that's worth about 35% of my degree. Newcastle was good , now got to unpack and repack to get to Hemel tomorrow.

Bloody hell what are you learning. It's not Life, the universe and everything is it because it sounds like it.

Seeing how I've looked at everything from how to build a habitable planet to the population dynamics of parasitoid wasps, it certainly seems like it at times . Officially though the subject's environmental science . Ooh ,

I read the 6 am reply first so don't answer the question. I don't understand much of that last post but surely that will atleast get you a eleventy million pound a year job

Not too likely, strangely there aren't many employers out there interested in the population dynamics of parisitoid wasps. Can't say I blame them . The changing populations of tiny wasps which lay eggs inside other insects which then die would perhaps have been a better way of putting it.
