I realised a couple of days ago that it was my fourth hootooversay , odd to think what's happened since I first accidently found this site whilst looking for another I'd forgotten the name of. I'd only gone online to find some hitchhiker pictures for a border round my noticeboard. That one mistake lead me to meet some truely incredable people. I even married one of them.
I was looking at my friends list, and out of 50 odd people I used to talk to here regually, there's only about 5 left. That's not too suprising though, four years is a long time to stay obsessed with one website and there are a lot of different things to do with your time and other ways to meet incredable people. I too have gone on to make more 'mistakes' leading to more changes in direction, seems some of my best acheivements have come out of failing to do something else.
Milly's very good at failing to sleep through the night, which is the main reason why I don't get online much. I'm generally too tired by the time she's settled, though today she got worn out after a trip to the wildfowl and wetlands centre . Milly's now got six teeth, can say 'hello', bye-bye', 'tortoise' and 'boat' and can stand by herself. She's got a huge cheeky grin, shoulder length hair at the back and blonde hair at the front. She's got grey eyes, no idea where she got those from . Her favourite activity is to 'jump' whilst holding a rubber duck and saying 'hawarwarwar' . It's hard to believe she'll be a year old in a few weeks
Some things don't change though, I'm still terrible at spelling and good at rambling in all senses .

I, for one, am very glad that you "fell" into this site. I did as well, from other directions. Though I was belated in replying to your greeting, we've had some fine chats. And I have been so very pleased to be counted among your friends. Seeing piccies of your Uni excursions, your wedding, your little -girl.
Somewhat late, Happy Hootooversary, my friend.

Dear me Unc, that makes me realise that it's my fourth year here, too.
Where did the time go?
I'm glad to hear that you're all doing so well.
You're right, many people have left, but others have come, and some are still around.
Happy belated fourth hootooversary.

Happy belated fourth hootanaversay Four years ... blimey... how time flies... flys... I still find it strange that some of people I used to talk to on here day in day out just ain't around any more or are hardly ever on ... Sign of getting old I recon Glad to hear everythings going on fine at home, even if you can't get on as often as you'd like

I have noted that, in the past 5 or 6 months, there do seem to be a number of 5-digit folks popping in again. In ASK threads, the Forum, journals of mutual friends. Perhaps it's all a cycle ...

Yes Happy Hootooversary Unc ... It must be coming up to or is already four years for me to. I think things have changed quite a bit and I get to do less talking (or is it rambling) than I used to. I enjoyed reading what you have written and think your child is so sweet. Be careful though it seems that she's chosen her career already, a rugby player for New Zealand. I look forward to hearing the next installment of Unc's life.

Four years already?!? That means I've been lurking around here for... Ooh, longer than that. Time flies when you're having fun, eh?
Happy fourth Hootootinniversary to you.

It'll be four years this month since I joined the BBC Book of The Future site (where I first bumped into Unc) and that lead me (via BBC Get Writing) to h2g2. I think it may well have been Unc who introduced me to hootoo.
Anyway, happy four year hootooversary Unc.

Thank you , the time's certainly gone quickly
I think it was Lu who first showed you h2 Liz, I got onto book of the future by following her from the mental meanderings page that resulted in a story about a minature chimp, a man with no smell and a small alien with a green flannel.

I could go into full detail of exactly what happened in the first few months I was on hootoo, but it would be very dull . I have a terrible memory in that I remember unimportant things in great detail but am useless when it comes to anything important
Apologies for the slow reply, we've all had a second wave of colds

Unfortunately so . Milly and I are mostly alright now but PSG's still a mess. Hopefully it'll have cleared up in time for Milly's birthday

I don't remember things too well. Especially useless things. Thats why I have never done well in tests. However, if i am doing things day in, day out, or near enough such as driving or work then i can remember how to do those things.

Hello Vix
I did some driving practice at the weekend for the first time in over two months, but fortunately I hadn't forgotten how to drive. My poor father in law was rather shocked when he found out (after giving me a little lesson) how long it had been since my last lesson.
Milly is now one too, another year that's gone very fast
