I'm off home (Hemel Hempstead), so may not be on hootoo again til 22nd April
In the process of packing, which is going to take ages . Also saying goodbye to friends who I won't see for a month , which isn't pleasent.
It also means no walking, archery, spur-of-the-moment nights out or get-togethers in people's rooms to talk about nothing in particular. It does mean I'll get more reading done, and get to see my brothers and sister, but a month is a bit steep.
Seeya all when I get back.

"Getting more reading done" is poor compensation for not being able to do the other things you listed. Although 'tis always cool to see family again.
Guaranteed you'll get 'til about Sunday lunchtime, then your feet'll start itching, the room will seem very small and you'll start staring at the horizon to try and spot the distant hills... you'll get the urge unpack a bow and take potshots at the screaming schoolkids passing down your road... the house will seem very small and you'll be disgusted that you don't know the guy next door and you can't just pop round for a cuppa and chat until the wee small hours...
I love the holidays.
Have fun

That just about discribes it . Leaving at 8am tomorrow morning, and after that I'm pretty much confined to my room with practically all my friends over an hours' drive away (my best friend also lives in Hemel, so not all bad).
Last time I ended up walking around the house and taking my littlest brother and sister for walks. The trouble is there's nothing even resembling a mountain, and 9-year-olds only seem cut out for 2 mile walks at most . They also feel that wind and rain means you shouldn't go outside.
Worse still, my parents think I'm quiet, don't like late nights, very good at housework and a useful free child-minding service.
Holiday?
