Recurring Dreams

I've never had this problem before but just recently (In the last few years) I've been plagued by 2 distinctive dreams.
The First has a varied ending depend on what is happening in the real world that affects it (i.e. music on radio, neighbours DIY). The plot basically is that I'm stuck in some Romero style zombie covered world. I'm not sure if anything bad has happened to me in these dream but the last one got pretty surreal as my radio alarm came on but didn't wake me, Basically the action became muted and was gifted a movie style musical score???
The Second and for more disturbing is the one that is always the same and ends the same way. Basically I'm in sixth form or university and I've to school/uni full of life and eagerness to study, then someone there tells me that I've got 2 weeks to do a whole years worth of work and a sense of wasted time drops on me like a ton of bricks. I then wake up and it take a few moments to realise that I have in fact stopped going to uni 3 years ago.
The second dream is okay as I can see it’s my guilt for not doing my work at uni and failing the course. However I've no idea why I have the first one, I mean I love vampire films and collect them and never dream about them so why zombies?
