What a super concert tonight. I heard, for the first time(I think), Tchaikovsky's 'Hamlet'. It was beautiful.
Another gale is blowing strongly.
And its astronomy tomorrow.

Glad you enjoyed your concert, don't know Hamlet (not by Tchaikovsky anyway)
Is it windy again? I never seem to notice.

Good morning Andy.
Extremely windy, quite sunny, very cold! And as for the weather......!!!
The Shostakovitch was pretty dire in places. And I wanted to laugh at the cellist. The cello looks so, um, awkward between one's legs. He was rocking with it so much that I expected him to fall off his chair. So, I had to keep looking away just in case my laughter suddenly erupted.
The Beethoven was great. I have never seen so many nodding heads(the couple in front of me were quite unaware of their movements! I wanted to laugh at them too.), tapping fingers, legs moving....So, for once, I enjoyed it too-I tapped with my fingers, and my foot. Sacrilege. Don't tell that lot on the classical music board.
Try and listen to the Tchaikovsky piece on the R3 broadcast. I've no idea, though, when it will be on. It was such a super piece.
Have a happy day.

Think it's your concert on now Carole. Heard only first and last bars of the Tchaik as I was ferrying kids around.

Hi dear Jane.
I missed the Tchai. Shame as it was lovely. The Shostakovich is not one of my favourites! I found it quite dreary in places! But the Beethoven is great(as it always is).
I do hope that you are keeping well. I must do my dinner very soon. I feel too weary though!
Thanks for reminding me about the R3 broadcast.
