After being away, I hardly expected the house to still be standing. But it is.And the fences and trees are OK too. Just the garden furniture in a heap.

Had a good time away Carole? How's your dear ? Cat's get very excitable in the wind - as do children. Our garden's completely buried in the leaves from one oak, two laburnums, a flowering cherry, next-door's ash and our tulip tree. Luckily the yews and laurels aren't deciduous though this wind's made them shed a few too.

Wookie is fine thank you. But I had a curious surprise the other morning ! Before opening the bedroom curtains, I noticed that my lovely cream rug was covered-literally-in something. I immedieately thought it was his new blanket that I have knitted for him. There are some loose ends and I presumed that he had pulled at them, fought with the rug, and ruined the rug. Then I noticed a piece of a branch complete with leaves!
I opened the curtains, and to my horror there was the remains of a bird-tiny feathers everywhere! Plus a head and some striking yellow feathers. I was stunned! He has never done anything like it before in the house. What a mess. He obviously plucked the poor little thing before eating it!! Oh dear. I know he cannot help it but I was shocked. And to think that I nearly stepped in it all.

Yes it's horrid when your beloved cat becomes a killer - but it happens. That's why some people hate cats. It's mostly little mice here. And once Zoe's goldfish.

What super photos, MJ. I particularly like the G&S one of you, and the sunset.

I managed to keep a 'flower' from a tulip tree-from years ago. It is very faded now but it brings back happy memories...

Isn't it cold tonight? Tomorrow promises to be very bright and very cold. Unsure what I am doing. Will probably go for a long walk across the fields with my camera.

Are you meaning the poor bird that my darling Wookie plucked, and then ate? It certainly was a shock-mostly because I couldn't see what it was in the semi-light. It looked like bits of paper or wool....Anyway, you already know that. But if you are meaning something else, then !!

I shall pass on your message to Woogs. He actually had not brought anything into the house for many, many months. He rarely has the time to catch anything. He is at my side almost constantly. And I aways lock the catflap-except for a few nights after the thug from next door cleared off! This is when Woogs had a night or two of freedom...The rest is history.

Carole you do realise that anyone can come here to read this! It'll be interesting to see if anyone does! W C F is an excellent one - should get some bizarre wrong guesses. Leave it a few hours (be prepared for a few crudities from some of our friends on I Spy!)then you can throw in a clue to further confuse everyone. Or throw one in now but it limits the scope of the guesses.
