Why is it in the human nature to always assume that a situtation other than the one that we are in will be better than our current situation. Basically, why is the grass always greener on the other side of the fence?
Maybe it is hope. We constantly hope that a new situation will abate our current misery. Maybe it is self-deslusionment. Maybe we just don't see the down side of other conditions before we experience them.
Does anyone have an answer?
