EYE OPENER!
Reality Manipulator Posted Apr 3, 2008
I tried to send messages last night but kept on getting either site is busy or service unobtainable.
I have got a medium sized front and back garden and get help from a handy man, £10 an hour. He also does jobs around the flat as I am totally undomesticated and hopeless at flat packs etc. I have done some painting of my bedroom but that took ages to do.
Social life apart from the singing group on Monday's and the courses on Wednesday.

Right, my little treasures, get ready for a battle. This may make International News.
*Zendevil Vs EDF*
I'm putting a link here in case the swines cut the electric off once they get notified i am sueing them for Unlawful Invasion of my Privacy by constantly harassing me with automated phone calls both on my fixed line (which i need for internet connexion) & my mobile (portable/cellphone), the number of which i have Not given to EDF: they've grabbed it from France Telecom i guess. I told them verbally last month to remove my phone numbers from their records, they refused. That's State Monopoly for you. In some countries it would be described as a form of dictatorship....
http://www.lareau-law.ca/corporationsLP.html
Unfortunately for the poor ikkle electwic company, i happen to know someone who happens to know just about every article of Law in this country.
The one which applies here is "Code Penal, Acte 937"
And that person is rather unpleased that i am unable to live in peace, which, since i have never committed a crime, is a violation of my rights.
Jose Bové took on Mac Donalds. Zdt takes on EDF. C'est la vie.
First i have to "porte une plainte" directly to the Police, who are obliged by law to take this seriously, plus put a phone tap on: fine, i have nothing to hide. Apparently i don't need to warn EDF i am taking this action, ze cops will do that...i told them verbally & that's enough. Then i am entitled to a "Partie Civile" to represent me in my case of "Harcellement Moral"
(In English: Big nasty Company is hassling me for no good reason & pissing me off)
However, in better news, i've been spending most of my time skulking around with my bass tucked under my arm & now have callouses rather than blisters & can jam away to everything from Elvis Costello to Al Jarreau,
http://www.aljarreau.com/
which is extremely satisfying. I see my ragged thumb as a badge of honour actually (i've finally gone for what i felt was right all along: i am best playing without a pick; by ear, sod the "correct" technique!)...yeah, makes yer thumb bleed a bit initially, but it Gets Over It; as with most life stuff.
Plus the sun has been shining today. And Yoda & the are alive & well, despite kidnap attempts.
So: What are "you lot" up to this weekend?

Gosh! Sorry to hear about that stuff!
This weekend...I have it off...no workie for me! Yays!
The boys went to a rally today and I got my guitar and amp out and thrashed the living f-daylights out of it...well as much as you can thrash classical... My fingers are all sore, I want to practise more but they are incredibly sensitive right now I need to work on those calluses.
I went to alto music to look at mandolins and classical guitars and they have changed the store around and I couldn't find them, plus there were too many people around jamming with various talents which made me flee ...and I couldn't find the right size slide for my ickle finger
Tomorrow is spring hockey for G-force then we might public skate...or roller blade...
I have a cd I want to post to you Terri but I haven't gotten around to it yet, hence the question multiple posts back as to whether or not you have a player...

I have had my tv connected to the aerial, my garden arch repaired, I went to the library, I visited my mother and I watched Doctor Who.

That sounds productive, Doctor Who is the best -- I used to watch that from behind the relative safety of the couch when I was small..

I was going to have a Cranium game this weekend, but a friend got sick. Cranium is like a blend of Trivial Pursuit and Pictionary.

Even as a small child of 4, watched Doctor Who avidly, I vague memories of the first and second Doctor Who but remember vividly reading the Radio Times article on the new Doctor Who played by Jon Pertwee.

Having it off sounds like a good idea, whether with Doctor Who or in classical style. "Exterminate" as squoke by daleks had me trembling behind the sofa also & i now have an inbuilt fear of sink plungers. I've learned to cope with egg boxes....just. It helps to wear long stripey scarves & believe your home is a i think.
Garrgh, Vix: i've been seriously considering a mandolin again also; but i have to prioritise: the CD player is packing up; "built in obsolescence" i think; ie, just after the warranty date
JEllen, what sort of oil paints did you get?
I was Out last night, eating pizza & have paid the price today, i reckon there was animal fat involved; i've been really sick all day, as in "totally incapacitated"; gruesome. Just about getting over it now. I'm probably not vegetarian because of sentimentality to cute fluffy hanimals, but simply that my system can't cope for some reason. However, reducing the world's desire to consume dead animals makes a great deal of sense in terms of land usage, plus i am convinced is better health-wise.
However, some people may be very different, le Bou is totally convinced He Will Die if he doesn't consume some sort of flesh every day; so long as it's not dead little piggies.
On similar matters, here's a snippet of news from France, the country of "Liberté; Egalité, Fraternité"

How silly. I've had mine for over 12 years, and it still works perfectly.

OOOhhhh! I sense a seascape coming on....
I've been a lazy, distracted little tartist for ages, not really done anything since the big Christmas candle stuff...JEllen, can you confirm your new addy is the Lorece one; then eventually this month you will get your Christmas stuff! (email me at zendevil *,not* hotmail; or confirm on here please)
I'll probably start on a mad rush of making stuff after the 10th, when Bou departs (yeah, let's start calling him that, since in reality i do & it's not his proper RL name anyway)
Can't really say much more on here regarding that. But i will need "you lot"
Spent today "just chillin" out"...watching music videos together, i had a Loooong Hot Bath with Yoda (fear not, she just watches from the side "Why on earth do hoomans immerse themselves voluntarily in large vats of hot water? Do they imagine they are shrimps or what?")
Do other do this? Also, she drinks the water, but despite grim predictions has made no attempt to eat the fish, however, i fear she is giving them nervous breakdowns by staring cross-eyed at them...

I had a cat named Jazz who used to jump in the bath with me. Herman watches from the doorway wondering why we hoomans inflict such torture upon ourselves.
I made a delicious cheesecake (recipe from my hootoo friend Ismarah) yesterday and just had a slice with dinner (quorn and green beans). Yum!!
