And another thing: promiscuity *used* to be a bad idea *because* of the possible repercussions. The fact that we can, with modern medicine, prevent or cure these, doesn't seem to enter into the reasoning. Promiscuity was bad because of the repercussions. The repecussions are *not* necessarily good, simply because they prevent promiscuity.

Phyllis Schlafly was Reagan's Advisor on Women's Issues during the ERA (Equal Rights Amendment) fiasco. She is an Ultra-Conservative Christian "spokesperson, the founder of Real Women (the anti-feminist, anti-women's rights "women's" organization) and the founder, president, and chief nutbar of The Eagle Forum, another American Right-Wing, "Patriotic", Christian group.

She was also chief lobbier to deny women in Afghanistan and Iraq basic rights and the vote after the Americans bombed the crap out of them.... Apparently, she and her counterparts felt it was "good" for women in those countries to be barefoot, pregnant, uneducated and without power (just as she promotes to American women), unlike herself.

I think I was wrong about her being the founder of R.E.A.L. Women.... She is a big supporter of R.E.A.L.
