therefore, although i am immensely talented in troubleshooting networks and computers, though self-proclaimed, i am going to do something wonderfully creative to satisfy myself and let me live life a little.

who says you have to do what your certificate says?

i admire the poly classmate that i had, who had very bravely took up a hotel management degree after getting fired from her internship. i am not laughing at her inability to pass an internship, of course, but i am applauding the fact that she is not afraid of the road ahead, even if it was lined with poisonous snakes and have dark clouds overhead.

the thing is, i told this classmate that i knew what i was going to do, be the best hairstylist there ever was. the problem is, i'm not brave enough. i'm not brave enough to take that step out into the unknown.

the funny thing is, when you hear about someone girlfriend being a nurse, or something like that, the first thought you have is, HA! ONLY a NURSE?! we gauge how successful a person is based on his standing in the society. how far has he come? only if you're a top coporate rat, then you're deemed as highly successful.

i am so troubled. it is so easy to lose your sight of your goal. there are so many detractors. i wish there is a life waiting for me, when i can make merry whenever i want, when life is spent on an alcoholic high, when i don't have to worry about providing for yourself.

the coporate life is Dilbert. it is not "like" Dilbert. it IS Dilbert. it is so scary to have vicious snakes hissing at you. it is where you have insipid hr directors who implement silly policies just so he can make your life (and everyone elses') a living hell. it is where ugly people so full of themselves tell you "Your ass looks fat in that pair of pants." even though what HE needs is an extreme makeover. it's funny how ugly people always think they're so god-damned sexy."

Well the indonesian one is obviously someone who really likes to see pictures of himself in different neckties and doesn't actually speak english. The other one is clearly 20 going on eight and just a gweat big fwuffy bunny --- and as any good Canadian boy knows, the thing to do with gweat big fwuffy bunnies is club them over the head with a rock, skin them, stew the meat with a little rosemary and use the fur to make warm mittens.




and no, I don't get out to very many PETA meetings these days.
