I had to take Mom to the hospital on Saturday because she was having chest pains.... I won't go into the fact that she didn't tell me Friday night because she "didn't want to wake" me, but took her nitro and went to sleep.... ARgggghhhhhh....
She's fine. It appears that, yes, it was angina, and yes, she should have gone in the night before rather than wait until morning. Stress is the culprit. Things have been a bit tight financially recently, and both she and I have been seeing out overdrafts over-used.
This morning, I thought I was feeling pretty stressed, what with my own worries over my finances, problems with a neighbour over my cat, the fact that I had a satellite dish installed (I will actually be saving money with it, before you think I was spending foolishly) without getting a permit from the co-op (long story), and my health worries.... I had to contend with Mom's financial woes, her health, and how both of those could impact on my, already unsettled financial situation. I actuall called my dear friend Krys, in order to blubber on her shoulder this evening..... Then I got a call today which lifted a LOT of that weight off my shoulders (at least it is a reprieve, of sorts). I have a little money coming back to me which, while it doesn't whish away ALL my problems, puts me on an even keel.
I will have to pay it back, but... WHEW!
It means that I can get my overdraft up and, instead of having my account go up to zero after I get paid, I may actually be in the black for the NEXT paycheck. Wouldn't THAT be nice?
It isn't as if I am working a minimum wage job or anything.... My pay is good, not great, but good, and should be enough. I just want to get ahead of myself, if only for a few months, and get some of the things I owe for paid up..... Without having to sell off the Picasso

In the black? Wassat?
I can quite imagine your relief since, as you know, something similar happened to me recently, snatching me from the edge of the deep dark financial abyss in the nick of time.
The worst thing about money sh*t is how insidious it is.
Jane Austen put it succinctly when she wrote:
"A very narrow income has a tendency to contract the mind and sour the temper".
Anyhow, I am very pleased to hear your good news.
