Appeared to have let things slide over the past few weeks - have posted comments on entry's, but not written my own yet! Am extremely bored at the moment - trying to decide whether I really want to go out for dinner or whether I should just do some chips and fry some beefburgers. With the whole issue of cost being quite important, it should be the latter. However, thanks to the generosity of Keele University, we only have hob and a microwave (ie - no oven). Now while the microwave is meant to double up as oven, the provision of instructions for these homicidal machines is not what it could be; put simply: WE CAN'T WORK THE BLOODY THINGS. There were a number of unneccessary fire alarms last year because the microwaves were actually much more powerful than we had been told. Needless to say, we got the blame . . . When a fireman has to throw a burning pizza from the kitchen window, which then breaks into pieces on the floor as it has been melted to the plate, something is clearly wrong.
So I'm off to the Hungry Horse

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
