A 30 year old should definitely have coughed up a shirt for ya! Then again, I'm 35, and the bestower of the hickeys is older, and WE didn't know better!

Indeed, I've always been one to act in haste and repent in leisure, and I don't think I'd prefer it any other way!

Yuppers, acting in haste is usually a hell of a lot of fun!

I got modded! My quote from Risky Business was deemed offensive! No idea yet if someone yikesed it, or what. Have written the mods for clarification on that point, and also on why I got 2 mails on the subject.

I'll have to watch my asterisks from here on out. Kind of amusing to be modded in my own journal, on a direct quote, but I don't care to develop problems with The Powers That Be!

Wow, I can't believe you got modded for that!! I mean, apart from the fact that it was a quote and wasn't offensive, it's the flippin' JOURNAL!! It's hardly a "public thread" or anything like that...

I've not been modded yet, as far as I know...which is good...because I take criticism very badly...

This was my first modding. Frankly, it wasn't all that exciting!

I don't like getting told off...I guess it's a hang up from High School....

...and I hate people telling me what to do. This is why, if I'm ever playing doubles pool, I will only play with someone who will not try to "coach" me - it just irks me like nobody's buiness...

I'm not much on being ordered about, either. The only reason I can tolerate my weasel boss is that he's almost 3 hours away, so I usually just deal with him by phone.

I'd give a better description of him, but I'd get modded again! And it wasn't good for me the first time!

Had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing today. I was alone in the office, and we had a visitor come in. Older lady, mid-50's. I went out front and was getting her info & brochures. She looks at me, says "Oh dear, how did your neck...uh...never mind!"

Never saw a woman that age leave the visitor center so quick!

My boss doesn't really tell me what to do. I've been in my job longer than he's been my boss. Therefore everyone accepts that I know more about "the way things work", and generally it doesn't adversely effect the goings-on of the office...

And yes, I am a crusty wench... ...although this morning I was describing myself as more of a "psycopathic wench that no one really likes...and some people are a little scared of..." Hey, I never said I was a people person!

(the people who know me love me...the people that don't know me tend to be a little scared...oh well, them's the breaks, right )

A little fear is good for the soul. Serves them right, keeps them from getting complacent!

I figure that ruling be fear is the only option I have at work. None of them are willing to admit that I'm smarter than all of them, so they'll be more likely to admit being scared of me !!!

I think it's hilarious that anyone in the world is scared of me. I'm the biggest puppy dog I know. I've never hit anyone in my life, and only fight when provoked...and I'm surrounded by people who think I'm a devil worshipper or something...
