Boarding School

Oh yes...I remember reading Enid Blyton's Malory Towers, and yes....when I was told I would be going to boarding school I was delighted..Thanks a bunch, Enid.... 
I can quite categorically state that being at boarding school was undoubtedly the unhappiest time of my life.
In fact, it felt like someone inside me had died.
On a brighter note, I did manage to leaver earlier than expected!!
I even got home in time for my birthday! 
What feelings, good and bad, do other people have on boarding school? I wonder...
