So, on Monday, Aug. 26 instead of going back to college like I had kind of planned, I went and bought a laptop instead. It's a refurbished ibook and though I was a bit skittish at first, I've been addicted ever since. Just a full on, no holds barred, always connected on line computer geek.
Interesting tidbit. After I buy my laptop and go to work, that's the day that the Ellen Feiss story broke on NPR. I've just now gone to the website to check out her testimonial as part of the switch campaign apple is running, and she is pretty funny. It's worth checking out.
Anyway, what was I talking about? I don't know, ah, yes full on computer geek. That's me. I've networked now, courtesy ethernet, which makes it darn easy, and though I still haven't gotten my ibook on speaking terms with my old personal laserwriter, I am working on it, in fact it looks as though the solution will cost me about thirty bucks more and then I'll have it.
Hmmm. What else. Oh, my allergies were bothing me today, I get hayfever really bad this time of year and I found out that eating honey that's produced locally can build a tolerance to the pollens I'm allergic to. So I had to go the store and buy some honey. I'm sure it takes some time to build up said tolerance, but maybe by next year I'll be sniffle and sneeze, mucus and snot, free. I hope it's the case because I've been just plain miserable the last couple of days.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
