h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I dreamt that I was crying,
And woke with my eyes dry.
I knew someone I never met,
Who only wrote a sigh.

This place is real, this place is not,
But here we are and they are not.
How real they were it's hard to say,
Just sad to know they couldn't stay.

A message to yourself?

I woke up, went straight to the 'puter and wrote it down. I'm guessing it's my subconscious thinking about Effers and a few others that are no longer with us. Pity that my subconscious is even worse than my conscious mind when writing poetry!

It's a bit mushy for me and I wrote it in a haze having just got up from a dream.

I won't if you don't want me to. I'll say, Anonymous h2g2er. Which will make them all curious.

Oh, all right I suppose. Being Anon is in some ways being pretentious I guess, put my name to it but let it be known I don't consider it Art or even something I am particularly proud of. Some might even consider it to be Bad Poetry.

I consider myself to be more along the lines of a limerick poet after a few pints of healthful beverages.

That's okay, you're allowed to be serious once in a while.
