Enjoyed a wonderful evening courtesy of Buena Vista Social Club Presents - ticket bought for me by my best friend. It was great to see such virtuosity and vitality from some seriously old duffers. The double bass looked like it was propping up its performer. The young singer had an incredible voice, the piano player was a mentalist; but the horns! Could drive a man insane.
They got a standing ovation and provided incredible entertainment.

I've been wanting to see those guys ever since I swallowed a deeply ingrained and musically unfounded hatred of them. Long story.
