...has died, apparently of an overdose.
I've not seen one of his films, not even Brokeback Mountain - though I might have caught him in Home And Away in 1988.
Another great loss, no doubt - young lives taken like that are always tragic. Just as he was about to shoot a film to be directed by - can you guess?

I'd only seen him in "A Knight's Tale", which was hardly a useful barometer for talent. Always a shame to see a young life cut short, especially the father of a young child.
