I didn't expect there to be; you need a picture, really. And I don't think there is one around. Though, actually, if you look for the Readin meet up, I should be amongst those. But I'm not very photogenic abd *always* look crap. I haven't have a nice one of me yet.

Aww ... you look pretty good to me. Just ... underexposed. Which is not your fault. (Actually it's a very common error -- underexposure and heavy shadows, which are what you get if you *will* sit on dark grey concrete ... still, I've been to Reading, and there's not much else there, is there?)

Again a pretty awful photo, compounded by a wide-angle lens (all compacts have wide lenses and they make people's noses look big ... why? Why? A 90mm lens is surely a better idea?)

Aha- you thought I'd gone, but no- we have run out of envelopes. I'm back- with a vengance. Or at least a cup of tea.

Vengeance and tea are one and the same if the tea is laced with cyanide. Under other circumstances -- no. So how come you were envelope stuffing in an office without envelopes? Sounds like bad planning on the part of logistics, or work avoidance on the part of you. In either case, I approve.

Erm... I think we just ran out and didn't realise. And it wuld be work postphonement, not avoidance. Shucks, huh.

Hmm. I don't know. I couldn't have stuck with a physics degree. I might have applied for a particle or quantum degree. Then again I might have gone for philosophy or something.

Quantum is fun, although only because it's a great way of confusing people. I am a happy bunny because I'm having ideas about information propagation, the Schrodinger's Cat principle, and relativity -- or "is the 'observer' simply the event's light cone"?

The whole observer thing is fine, but what is one person has observed, but someone else has not. Has the wave collapsed, or is it still omni-whatever-it-likes for the second person? Just a thought.
