I got it!!!
it took me over 2 hours yesterday and by then I still hadn't figured out what the question was to get the ultimate answer 42 out of my registration number. This morning while i was on the toilet (somehow my IQ always rises on the toilet, approx by 42 points) I came up with the answer! So here it is:
9+1+8= 18 x (4-2)= 36 + 6 = 42
I wanted to jump with joy when i finally found the question. But i didnt because i didnt feel like cleaning up the mess. Actually i never feel like cleaning up mess
