h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

On Saturday, I had a look on Friends Reunited and found some old school chums who wanted me to get in contact with them. Happily, one of them has already been in contact twice since. We have 20 years to catch up on and hopefully we will remain in contact now.

The fun and laughter we shared when we were at school was measured equally by the time we spent consolling each other each time a spotty oik broke one of our hearts (and boy, did we suffer!). We are both agreed that (like all other teenagers) we were a complete pain in the backside and our mothers deserve medals for putting up with us. But this has also made me wonder... surely my little babydogmonkey could never become the odious creature I was... could she?

--You're back, Simon! Excellent, I knew you wouldn't be able to stay away for long! Neither could I, despite major traumas in RL; in fact I think I can safely say that my hootoo friends played a large part in getting me through it.

--The "friends reunited" site is brilliant; I'm now in contact by phone & e-mail with people from my childhood; particularly important to me since I'm trying to trace my "roots"; both for personal reasons & also for part of the book I'm writing. The only thing that stuffs me up somewhat is that I'm a social leper in that I don't (yet!) have a credit card, so can't upgrade to full status; thus I can't actually contact anybody; have to hope they contact me; most frustrating!(believe it or not, don't have a TV or a mobile phone either!)

--I'd put a link for this on my links section; but I'm wary as you do have to pay to upgrade, so it might count as advertising.

Simon... what are you doing on hootoo? tut, tut, tut. Spending time here is why you had to work this weekend! E-mail will soon be on it's way (babydogmonkey has been a poorly pup so no time to get on-line) with answers to questions posed!
