Consumption trees

Is it me or is it a worry that when we start plugging trees into the mains that we have a consumption problem. People have spent the last year about lecturing us about ecological footprints, unsustainable development and that those little 'LED' lights on things are bad turn out be the geezers with big plastic trees with hundreds of the little blinkers.
I demand that that either they shut up or take those infernal s down!
