On the subject of pets, (see previous entry "Barney") lets talk about my hamster. Fred is over 4yr old now and is on his road out. Better than your average hamster, Fred's been more like a dog or cat. He comes when you shout his name, he does (well, did) tricks, he was soooo tame. Nice wee thing. Now though, he's ancient (for a hamster) I'm considering taking him to the vet to say "bye.byes" as he's in a bit of a mess. He can hardly walk now, can't open his eyes, doesn't eat & only drinks occasionally. Think it's better for him to end his suffering but I'll be gutted to say goodbye. It's been fun. Poor wee thing.
