ah h2g2...was so glad when my friend introduced me to this site.i recieved a warm welcome,and have met quite a few people already.
BUT.......i'm getting SOOO flippin frustrated at not being able to access some parts of this site because i am with NTL DIGITAL
and not on a PC.i can't reply to msg 'threads'...so other users may think i'm being anti-social by not replying.well,i'm trying to join in
on here...but NTL DIGITAL don't appear to have the technology to cope with this site!! guess i'll be told differently now by an NTL employee!!
oh well,hi-ho...best i start saving for a PC!! thanx for reading. x

Oh boy do I know the problems your having, I was also with nthell,Ive just recently been able to get a real pc,(as its an old one though its still making life difficult!! but thats anough story)
I had all the same problems you are now experencing too, I found a few ways to get round some of them, and also was helped a lot by folk on this site who are just great! as I think someone has already told you aka has a webtv help page and also Brownfury was very helpful to me,
if I can be of any help also please shout! as far as replying to long threads, I found the only way to continue a conversation if the thread would no longer load was too find anough link to the person you want to speak to, and start a new conversation, and you can then explain whats happening.
I know its all a pain but its certainly worth it this site just so good and the people are really great,so stick with it things have got better for web tv users even since I first came,and there are plans to improve it further.

the thing i'm not sure about is how to start a new thread if i can't

small world this sure be, I live in Swanley, we are almost neibough's,
yea this post new threads can be a tricky one! how I used to do it, say I was in conversation with aka and threads stopped loading, I would go to his space and find an entry he had made on anything,intro or his journal,and reply on the Discuss this entry button, I would make a new title somthing that they hopefully would notice and guess it was from me. I also found telling people you were a webtv user and prewarnning them the problems that involves they can then keep an eye out for your replys or contact you if they think you are having problems contacting them. you could also write a piece on your space or as a journal entry explaining the problems, you'd be suprised how many people visit and then become aware of the difficulties.
no Ive never used L.D myself not sure if I can still get there as I no longer subscribe to internet with nthell, but if I can get there I will look for you(are you corndolly there too?) and we can exchange e-mail addresses. sorry this a bit rushed afaid I dont have to much time tonight so
must go now but I'll get back to you later hope some of this was of some use!

thanks for comment on page, now I have pc (only had it a short while) I must get round to updating it and add somemore pictures but you know how it is there's never enough hours in the day is there!
where has the sunshine gone to today, I was just begining to enjoy getting out in garden and leaving coats etc at home hope its soon back with us. well love yer and leave yer for now,
