Well it's been a lovely first week here at h2g2. Everybody has been shockingly nice and friendly and charming. Most of all, I'm absolutely stunned by the amount of trivia flying around. It's a joy to be here!
I'm also learning, fast. Today's lesson: Don't run up four flights of stairs having chosen the budget option in the canteen (generally two carbohydrates and a load of fat). I'm hoping you can learn from my mistakes, reader.

Hello there Fourxxxx,
Welcome to h2g2!
If you want to ask a question on h2g2 (as long as it isn't actually about h2g2) then the best place to visit is Ask h2g2, a marvellous forum in which Researchers ask the whole Community questions about all kinds of things (and provide answers of course!):

Just start a new conversation at the bottom of the page, and ask your question.
However, I should also point out that there are a couple of Edited Entries on our site that might be helpful to you; an article on Ancient Greek Slavery and its Relationship to Democracy: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A471467
and one entitled 'Demokratia - the Athenian Democracy':

Hope that helps!
