And so. It was a pleasure to work with Douglas. He scared the heck out of me when I first met him. He was a giant man (I'm a little girl) and the aura of his cult figure status also dwarfed me momentarily. But the giant smile equally put me at ease.
The hardest part right now is knowing wonderful people who were close to him and knowing the shock and suffering they are genuinely feeling. I'm sure Douglas himself is fine, wherever he may be.
My love and support goes to all his family, and his friends.
And I will remember him well. Remember what marvels and how much laughter and thoughtfulness he brought into the world. Not what he could have done but what he did, for he did so very much.
Peace
