SHOCKING NEWS....
Vip Posted May 21, 2008
I think it's always been difficult, especially in photography where, a lot of the time, people don't understand the difference between good and fantastic photography and won't spend money accordingly. Take me and the wedding- I'm loath to hire a professional, even though I theoretially know that it can make all the difference (especially with someone so un-photogenic as me).
But the best of luck still. What do you intend to specialise in? What market are you aiming for? People, places, magazines, private photo shoots?

I'm not- I look pretty good in RL, but put a camera in front of me and it just doesn't work.
It doesn't help that I have deep eye sockets, a wonky nose (which I'm used to seeing the other way round in a mirror, of course), and a false smile when a camera is pointed at me. Shots where I don't know it's there are sometimes okay, but not always. I look at my best when I'm completely dishevelled, sweating and muddy, but having a wonderful time and grinning like a loon.
Sure, chuck them to laura [underscore] sheep at hotmail dot com.
