The other thing is I get creatively blocked. Just like the great DNA himself. I need a squad of homework-cheerleaders really. I have two days to finish an assignment. Hofstadter's law is scuppering me! http://www.madras.fife.sch.uk/maths/funbatches/funbatch1Cb.html
Ironic, considering my article on paradoxes would suggest I should be impervious to them.
I'll get there. I must. This is the best place for me and I can't let myself down.
I was going to ask, , if you liked Sci-Fi! On the H2g2 website I was going to ask you if you liked Sci-Fi!

Basically, it's about Artificial Intelligence. The problem of what happens if a computer is mistaken for a human. The Internet poses a similar problem; to what extent is a web-post on the screen representative of the original poster? You can extend this argument to include cave-paintings and dinosaur bones; the whole phenomenological smorgasboard, even.

They're there for everyone!
I think the knowledge is empowering; the expansion of communications technology means more and more people are predominantly companionate.

It means people can and, I'm sure, do try to keep "relationships" together over increasingly awkward distances. Nothing wrong with that if they're particularly trusting and compassionate towards each other.

It's just that Sterberg was aware that some people can kid themselves that they have a kind of love with someone that they actually don't!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
