h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Confuse the f**k out of me.

Like, met someone at the weekend, she came back to mine, had to leave for work that morning, but I was keen man, keen enough to text her that day (standard rule to leave it a few days.) She called me up that evening, we chatted for a while, and she said to give her a call later in the week to sort out linking, she seemed as excited as I was.

So I phone her last night, we chat for 10 minutes (and yes we were chatting, not me just babbling shoite which can happen all too often), she says I'm at a work mates leaving thing, can I phone you back? I tell her I'm at work till ten and theres bugger all reception so she says she'll text when she's free and I can phone her back.

So I finish work and no text, no biggy, she's a leaving do, probably pissed, busy etc. No probs. I just drop a casual text to ask if she's got plans for the weekend, it's be nice to link, we'd already talked about it a bit earlier...

And I wake up this morning, check my phone, nothing, no reply, ok, no biggy still, I'm an impatient m**********r, gotta learn some patience, don't mug yourself. Not everyone lives attached to their phone.

It gets to 8 tonight, and I can't resist, I give her a call, no pick up and straight to answerphone just leaving me to say pretty much exactly the same thing I said in my text last night.

Now, why the delay when she said she'd get hold of me last night, I guess I probably should have left it at the text and not phoned today but I couldn't help myself...

You know you meet someone, maybe even go home with them and think, they're cool, lets link a few more times and see what their really like.
And that's standard, pretty much happens every time for yrs.
And then you meet someone really f*****g interests you, someone you can tell you've got a hell of a lot in common with straight away and you're like an impatient kid.

I dunno, I've got f**k all work on at the moment so I'm overthinking the hell out of everything and pacing the lab.

haha, it reappeared with asterisks instead of misspelling swear words, i thought asterisking words brought the filter down though...

It does, but I guess it still part of mod practice to use them. Fullstops are effective however.
