Zeppo does not like when I sing the "Ai Ai Ai Ai" part from the Talking Heads song. I doubt anyone does, really.

Your lucky that you hear David Byrne in your head instead of me.
How are things? Are you more settled yet or still in temporary lodgings?

Perhaps you could get an audio clip of yourself singing and I could take it to the meet up in January. If is joining in as well that would be great. I could play it at the end of the evening so that everyone would know it was time to leave.
Things are much better, thank you. We are in the same place as our furniture, clothes and personal effects, which is a vast improvement on the start of term. The place is rented so the next step is to begin a search for a nice house to buy. One of the reasons I didn't do this straight away was that I wanted to see how I felt about the new job. Well, it's fine and I'm happy to be there. It's a very positive place which makes a change from the last 2 years. I earn a lot more and I don't have to pay fees for the girls. My evenings and weekends are my own again too. So one more house move to go and then I'll stay in the same place for at least 3 years.
I saw that you have finally covered all that hot pink paintwork. What's the next project on your house?

All the pink is gone, but the windows aren't finished yet. Can I stretch this out any longer? I have a little more scraping to do to get the last traces of the old finish off of one window, then refinish it and touch up the windows that were never painted before. After that, I think replacing the floor tiles in the kitchen that Zeppo dug up is next.
and
replace the fence
pave the drive
strip wallpaper from front room and kitchen
paint 3 downstairs rooms
paint bedroom
replace closet doors in bedroom (there are none!)
replace or repair french doors downstairs (missing glass)
completely overhaul the bath
Are you sure you want to buy a house?

Oh yes, I want to buy a house, although when there were storm warnings here last week I did feel relieved that if there was any damage it wouldn't be mine to sort out. I think home ownership is far higher in the UK than in the USA.
I was just wondering about your singing. Is there any link between that and Zeppo eating the telephone? I've just seen the picture and I'd be tempted to do that myself if the singing is as bad as you say!

Interesting theory. I would consider testing it out, but I don't want to lose the new telephone. It might be only that particular song that triggers the destructive behavior.
More likely it was caused by the weather. We had two days of sleet, so he didn't get his w-a-l-k (he can recognize the word) and had some spare energy to let loose somehow. My brother left the phone on the coffee table, in easy reach, and I foolishly left him loose in the house thinking he had outgrown the chewing.
You knew!

Hi there! I've looked at post 193 of the masque and you knew I was there all the time. Actually I'd pretty much worked out who you were too.
I wish I had more time to enjoy things like. The masque was easy as it was just one thread. The RPG that go on for weeks are to hard to follow as a reader, so I know I could never join in.
Sleet. Brrr. We've had nothing like that yet, just a few mornings that I've had to scrape ice from the windscreen. But most days it just rains. Lots.
You knew!

I was wondering if you knew who I was. I really didn't suspect you until post 193, but then I realized why you seemed so familiar. I was guessing Titania until that point, but it didn't seem right. And I almost switched to Galaxy Babe when she posted out of nowhere.
I think it's easier to participate in the multi-thread RPGs than to lurk. When you're wrapped up in the role-play, you tend to stick to the thread that you're involved in and ignore the others. The Mary Celeste game definitely worked that way, since GL put that rule right up front.
It's warmed up here. And we are having a normal amount of rain, which is a great relief after over a year of extremely dry weather.
