aw... i need to get the pillow book on dvd. it's so sweet and adorable.
i don't know what's wrong with my mind, why i can't seem to WORK for the life of me... on anything, at all, ever. i have to have a presentation on The Midwest as a literary region for American Lit class on monday. it's not a big deal, nothing but a brief report and a brief oral summary... but i'm just kind of sitting here, with books scattered around me. sitting. gazing into space. gazing across the room at the feast of junk food i bought for dinner then decided to eat later at the end of the day, after i'd gotten some work done.
this has been part of my problem all week... i can't really focus on any one thing for long. if i try to study french i just end up kind of going... 'what? this is too much stuff, i'm overwhelmed and bored and i don't feel like doing this anymore so i'll go play with quizilla.'
so i do badly on tests and forget to do homework and get nothing productive done all week. and tonight, after going to the library and checking out bunches of poetry and short fiction by midwestern authors, which made me feel like i'd gotten something done, i sit here listening to the annual pledge drive on the radio and occasionally posting the dj's sleep-deprived babblings into the non sequiturs thread.
ladies and gentlemen, this is my weekend, this is my life.
