Managed to escape the winter wonderland for a week
and went to Honolulu to visit my parents. I was kind
of surprised that the airport security didn't seem
any
more stringent or instrusive than it had before. I
hadn't flown since summer of last year.
The plane was really full and since I was space
available and the only space was in business class,
I
got upgraded. Gotta love it. Things are so
complicated
now that I had to ask the woman next to me who was
obviously a frequent business class flyer how to
work
the little personal tv screen. She managed to get it
switched on and lo and behold, about 25 bare
breasted
women were walking down the catwalk on some fashion
show. She mentioned quickly that she could show me
how
to change the channel, but I told her it would be
just
fine.
Hawaii was quite cold and windy, but lots of sun, so
I
didn't mind. Had a good visit with the folks and a
couple of good dinners at the Outback and Jose's
restaurants. Managed a couple of nice long beach
walks
before heading back home to the last gasps of
winter.
Empty flight coming home, so no business class, but
since it was a night flight, I just slept anyway.
