i dont know if anyone is even gonna read this but has anyone got any tips for me using this coz i aint got a clue what im doing can anyone help me

Yes, I can help you.
Click on the "Who's online" list, and you will see who else is online.
Click on any name, and you will get a page open up which is their personal space.
To start a conversation with this person, just click "Click here to discuss this entry" then say what you wish to say.
Don't forget a title!
When you have been here a while, there are some nice places on h2g2 where you can join in a "thread" where several people are conversing, but these can be confusing to newcomers, so I advice one-to-one chat for now.
For the smileys, just click on one, and you will be taken to the page that lists them and also shows you how to type them
Don't ever worry about getting lost, if you wish to return to your own personal space anytime, just click the "My Space" button on any page.
Don't be afraid to ask questions, people here are very tolerant and we were all new once!
