Oh I never thought I see the day A personal attack on my brother http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F1712450?thread=674463 from people who don't even know him!!!!!!! Hootoo has finally reached an all time low

i hope i'm not intruding here, being someone who doesn't know any of the people involved particularly well, but i read that thread earlier and too i thought that it was a bit harsh. although the person attacking him (the name excapes me) was defending VV, it seems that they do not have the whole picture and are jumping to conclusions, and they would realise this if they were to go back and re read the entire thread impartially.

this is just my opinion as an impartial observor. i hope you don't mind.

What I am angry about is that even when my brother has left the site people still can't leave him alone.

That, people who haven't even bothered to get to know him, or even ask his side of events, so they can make an informed decision, are quite prepared to attack him in an open thread for all to see.

i understand why you are upset and i agree with your argument. i had actually met Cal a few times and he seemed like a nice guy. i am sorry to hear that he has left.

most of the people involved are the type of people who don't listen, they just talk, and when they have finished they just leave everyone else to pick up the pieces. it makes me sick both on h2g2 and in RL. i thought when i joined that at least that sort of thing would be left at the door.

the thing that makes this all so much worse is Cal only joined the site after the death of our brother. It's become a kind of little connection he has with him now. *sigh*


I'm just really angry right now, no-one I know of who has ever met Cal has disliked him, I really don't know what their problem is

that's fine, be angry. there's nothing wrong with that. people who dislike people they haven't met for recycled or half baked reasons aren't the sort of people you need to waste your energy on.

have some or and go and do something you like doing in RL. you'll feel better after that. in fact you're probably doing that now which is good.

if you need a good rant about it then just say so.

Cal and I spoke on msn and I hope he and I are alright. I don't condone what happened today.. as you well know

I'd prefer it if you'd leave my journal, and leave my brother alone, he doesn't need you dragging him down he has enough on his plate right now.

And no matter what you may "think" you and he will never ever be "alright"

Most certainly.. then you and your friends refrain from any further attacks on myself.. VV is no longer here... Actually your brother was alright with me. Perhaps you should talk with him.

And no-one attacked you, we were all upset about Cal being named as someone who apparently upsets your daughter, someone he has offered a lot of support to, and all because she tittle tattled off line.

Oh and I must say, I'm very impressed with your ACEly behavour both in here and in your own journal

I never condoned what happened in that thread. And it was dying down until you came in there to defend Cal.. I had already done that. Now I am defending myself. You see, I am only one against a minimum of 4 who are willing to jump out at me, either here or on msn. Now if you wish me to leave your journal perhaps you should refrain from answering me back.

Now maybe you'd like to explain to me why it is ok for VV to tear ten strips from Cal, or anyone else she thinks has done you wrong, as I have seen her do that on site! But not for me or Cals friends to return the favour? What is that? "do as I say and not as I do?"

Because she isn't here anymore.. Only me. So you will be either attacking fresh air and getting no response, or you will be inviting me to answer to her. Which I can't.

If you read that Journal, I have defended Cal. He was talking to me on msn at the time.. he contacted me! Later we both parted quietly. This evening he was talking to me again.

Dax, when i said i agreed with you i meant against the others on that thread but not lil. she is being truthful when she says she defended cal. i have just read what you 2 have been saying in here and both of you seem to be talking without listening to the other party.

please don't jump down my throat about this. lil is my friend and i think that because you were upset you took it out on her a bit.

before you reply i recommend that you and lil and anyone else involved read through both this thread and the other one and READ what the others are saying rather than just what you are saying. i think all of you will then be able to understand what lil is trying to say.
