Today my little 
thought it great fun to play Jumping Off the Couch until she went face first into the floor and gave herself a cracking black eye. Better keep her in just in case one of the neighbours gets the social onto me!

Joking aside front facing wounds tend to be written off by child protection people much more easily than backward facing wounds. Kids are forever falling off things and running into things and bruising and cutting themselves. Something catching them from behind is much less likely to be accidental.

She's always got a cut or a bruise. One day she'll knock some sense into herself. That's what we're hoping for at least!

You'll have to go some to beat my 6 trips to A&E in a week. In the end my mother told the school that if I damaged myself again one of the teacher could take me in - she was frightened to show her face there again.
