--I'm inclined to agree with you about some of them. Even here in France, where "public servant" types are generally pretty considerate, you get the odd one, like the one a few weeks ago who tried to drive off while I was halfway onto the bus with two heavy bags. I'm a bit handicapped (but not visibly; ie: no white stick/wheelchair etc.) & nearly got dragged underneath the damned thing! I protested loudly; but he seemed to think it was funny; probably 'cos it was obvious that I was English; but "f******g h**l, you stupid b*****d!" etc etc is pretty universal language!
