Crisis has since been narrowly averted! 
For a while there it looked like my holiday plans were going to take an expensive turn for the 'not gonna happen'. I'm staying with a friend in LA from h2 (hence MeetSheep coming with me), who has developed an ear infection which need all sorts of treatment - coinciding with my arrival 
, got a message which I didn't find for the best part of a week, asking me to delay arrival - which I cant do tickets are non transferable, & non refundable...
Anyway it seems things aren't as bad as they sounded when I didn't know everything I know now. - I'm still going, and we're gonna make the most of it while we can
*reminds self next time, not to panic!*
