Douglas Adams may not be everyone's taste, but I found it very easy reading and really funny, as well as having good storylines. Different strokes for different folks. You can get h2g2 on CD now or as downloads, eg from audible.com/.
Do I have any children? Yes, LS - I have an 11 year old son.
I got my power animal following a guided meditation. If I have a spirit guide, I'm not aware of it. How does it work for you?

I did actually 'nearly see' something like a power animal when I was in Devon. The man playing the digereedoo played it and I 'imagined' I saw a warthog. He told me that they have a strong association with these instruments. So I was pleased he had told me that because I didn't know it before.
I do 'walking' meditation. I saw another 'snake' today when I was walking. I was thinking about the snake and I saw a piece of wood curled around a branch that looked like a snake. Then I thought of a Chinese paper snake (green, also the sort of snake you would find in a 'spot the 7 differences' between two pictures in a comic or puzzle book.
They are just thoughts. Sometimes worries. I still haven't learnt how to tell the difference. Which isn't very helpful.
What has come of this is that someone travelling (in my family) is feeling sick at the moment and there is nothing I can do about it.

How interesting that there's an association between the didgeredoo and warthogs, when they're from different continents. I wonder how that works? Gondwanaland??

You got me there, Fb - I had to look that one up: http://www.kidcyber.com.au/topics/gondwana.htm - I'd heard of Pangaea - and then I remembered I had heard the name. I too would like to know how the connection works, LS>

Hello ZSF and hello Frenchbean,
Continuing with REIKI and spiritual healing conversation:
I have been in touch by text with family concerned and the person who I thought was ill, is feeling sick, so I was correct on that score. Not greatly so and I knew that as well. I think it is wonderful that we may keep in touch over so many thousands of miles these days.
There are some other people in England who are also feeling sick today. I wonder if it may be a residue from the chocolate problem that covered the country a few months ago. Anyway, let's send them some prayers and hope they get better soon. meaning

residue from the chocolate problem that covered the country a few months ago? What chocolate problem?

Ladye_Seagull Posted Mar 26, 2007
My memory isn't all that clear, but quite a lot of chocolate bars had to be recalled from large stores. It may even have been last summer.

"the chocolate problem that covered the country..." Aah, isn't English a wonderful language? I have a vision of East Anglia (for some reason) awash with melted What a delightful problem

Was the chocolate problem where the government decided that some chocolate bars were so big that they were unhealthy? The manufactures recalled them and now issue the same bar split in two so that you can share it with your friend.

Hi, Folks,
The 'problem' was the withdrawal of huge amounts of chocolate made by a world famous company, because it contained something nasty above acceptable levels!! A number of people were ill, and it was a while before the two issues were connected.
See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5110674.stm
It doesn't seem to have caused more than a temporary (though large) blip in their sales though.

'I have a vision of East Anglia (for some reason) awash with melted ' - I had a similar vision, Fb, although I didn't think of East Anglia in particular - just rivers of chocolate.
'The manufacturers recalled them and now issue the same bar split in two so that you can share it with your friend.' Or eat both of them yourself, Gnomon!
I wasn't aware of our Bournville based friends' problems, Websailor - it rather passed me by. Comes of not watching much tv or reading many newspapers.
