Oh, it gets worse! Noticed that my tax code has altered, which means that despite getting a pay rise, I'm not getting any extra money. Need to fill in a form and tried to do it on-line. Had earlier made an attempt and got nowhere. This time, I was determined. However, I was missing some information, so I went to look for it - right at the end of the process. when I got back, I was timed out! Highly frustrated - all my work for nothing. If I'd known, I could have saved the form, but no! and I *still* have to get the information. Probably need to ask my payroll section.

Don't do stuff like that on-line. It always goes wrong ... the IR will assuredly stuff it up if your ISP doesn't.

I'm only doing it for speed, as I've noticed that my personal allowance has really gone down as I didn't do anything about claiming the new Family Credit - as a lone parent of a seven year old I will probably get an extra £500 a year.
Have you had bad experiences?

I have had opportunity to listen to Radio 4's Money Box.

I was talking to someone on the way home today and she told me she'd claimed in October in writing and has still heard nothing. Not very impressive, eh?

Actually, I'm wondering why the on-line facility is not over a more secure line - unless it is more secure and they've just not told us.

I've done 95% of it on-line so far. I'll probably send in a pen and paper claim as belt and braces. I'll definitely phone their office on Tuesday whatever happens and query what's going on.

Exactly. Forget the e-bollocks, ZSF.
