Zarquon's Singing Fish!

Some years ago, I went on a scholarship to Tanzania, via the British Association of the Experiment in International Living, which came under the World Council of Churches. I'm not sure whether this still exists or whether this type of programme is still being carried out and intend doing some research about it.

Groups of people (we were teenagers) were sponsored - in our case by Thwaites Brewery - thank you Thwaites - to visit for a period of six weeks, to have a look around, take part in a work camp and a homestay with a family. In my case, I stayed at a girls school. We worked near to Moshi to build a base camp for people intending to climb Kilimanjaro, which was a very satisfying part of the stay.

I wonder whether any of the people who went on the scolarships are h2g2 Researchers? Do tell!
